Mary Ann Kirchhoff

The Angora goats of Slateford Farm graze upon historic land that was part of the original Walking Purchase of 1737 and that had been deeded to William Penn's cousin.

The farm still operates, raising animals and producing assorted crops. The goats are part of a long tradition of animal husbandry and give us an historic link to the past.

Mary Ann Kirchhoff has been spinning and weaving a variety of fibers for over 25 years. She has lived and worked in many countries in Europe and the Far East and has brought back with her many of their exotic techniques for producing fine fabrics.
